The ongoing legal battle between Kesha and her current producer, Dr. Luke, ensues. Kesha, who filed charges against Dr. Luke for physical, emotional and sexual abuse in California back in 2014, dropped the case after it was on hold since June 2015. She instead is turning her focus to the legal battle in New York, where she's attempting to terminate the contract with Kemosabe Records and where Dr. Luke has sued her for defamation. Kesha’s legal battle has not been going well for her—earlier this year Kesha was denied the preliminary injunction that would have given her the rights to suspend her contract and in April the bulk of her claims were thrown out.
In order to get her career back on track, Kesha has given her record label 28 new songs and hopes to release a single as soon as possible. She has also announced a new tour, fittingly titled,"Kesha and The Creepies: The Fuck the World Tour." We support her musical decisions but are sad and disheartened that things continue to push her back. Keep it up Kesha, we admire your fight.
